Bidding Directories: Letters or Categories?

    Do you own a bidding directory? What did you choose to sort your links? Alphabetical or by category?

    PLease help me make up my mind!

    why so many dirs using letters? just because it is the default option?

    Thats the only reason I can see.

    Maybe if we tell them to use a 'unique' category structure they might just jumble up the alphabet :D

    Mine got both too. I didn't want to erase all those alphabet categories. Besides with those, I can expect more links to be listed in top levels ;)

    You don't need a mod for that. Just modify the header.tpl.

    buy making it alphabetical it makes a link farm.

    my reason for that is: you may have a gaming site, couple of real estate sites, couple of gambling sites, couple of blogs, etc.
    in one alphabet: in my openion that is what a link farm.

    So, I go by categories

    www.SharpDirectory.com

    bought one with alphabets changed to Categories immediately.

    I don't have one, but categories is definitely better from SEO point of view.

    Till now, I have bought links only from those bidding directories that sort sites by categories.
