Post running in introduction sub-forums!!!

I have posted once or twice in the "introduction" sub forums. But i have noticed people are posting in multiple threads "welcome" and things like that. So there is obvious post running going on. I don't think there is really a need for an introductions sub forum. People could just introduce themselves through pm, to people giving advice to them and stuff like that. Anyway thats just my opinion. What do you members think?

 

and this coming from someone with 23 posts/day.

on a serious note, yes it's been discussed several times that we don't need an intro section. but then again we also don't need a GC, BST, etc...

should just make intro posts don't count towards the post count.

 

Well people who make continuesly this type of message will get infraction points and Mod team is very active there. Few members banned for this types of messages.

look at my posts though. They are never less than 30 words. Some of my posts are pretty long in the politics sub forum. So my posts aren't post running at all. Very valuable to the people who need advice and stuff. But this post running is going on.

 

I wouldn';t worry about the intro forum too much since there are other conspiracy theories here:
1) 90% of all posts at DP are some variation of "I'm interested, Send PM", or "PM Sent"
2) People give each other iTraders for bogus trades, just to boost up their reputation in the buying/selling arena

IMO, if you giving someone money research in OTHER ways then just DP or you will end up opening another very popular DP thread entiteled 'Reputable DP member scammed me"

whats a dupe. 23 posts is quite easy. I spend a lot of time on DP. Probably 8 hours a day. So i really think you guys should stop judging. Because a lot of my posts are just reviews and stuff, helping others. With no benefit to me.

22. I don't have duplicate accounts. So stop making wild accusations. Firstly i have been a webmaster for about 2 years now. Started posting on forums about 3 months ago. Mainly soccer ones because im obsessed with it. Secondly i found this place by a search in google, when i was looking for electronics on ebay.

I don't know any tricks. Pm's i mean like there is no point in introducing yourself to any one else. Unless they give you advice or you make a trade. Then you pm them and say thanks, im e.g brian by the way whats your name. There is no point introducing yourself to the entire forum because 70 percent won't check and 90 percent don't care. So i thought pm's would be relevant to communicate introductions to those you are associated more with on these forums. You getting me?

The fate of introduction section has been discussed here several times. My be you did participate before if I am not wrong.

 

What is your problem mate!!!! This is my only account on DP. im getting quite offended now. You can't just jump to conclusions like that. How did i get that idea? when your on it 8 hours a day for 7 days then you think about things, if you have a brain like you don't obviously.

 

Making a sub forum isn't bad. But its better if we disable post count for that section

Adsenseking44, maldives gets a lil playful at times, means you no harm. lots of people start their career at DP at 20 even 30 posts a day, but they'll dwindle as time goes by. if it doesn't 99% of the time you'll be banned, like member Stealer.

 

Why would you get banned for having a high average post count per day? If the posts are relevant why would you get banned? And what happened to stealer?

 

you don't get banned for having high post count a day. it's just that it's not very feasible for someone to keep up that rate for long (hence the 99%) without having to excessively run up post count at some point. and that's exactly what happened to Stealer.

you might be the 1%, i don't know.
