Blog with a twist

I'm not sure exactly where to post this on the DP forums but, here goes...

Is there a relatively easy way to setup a blog where the posters can write the articles, post to different subdirectories instead of all in one place?

My goal is to have a site with differing themed "categories" and articles from multiple writers (all pre-accepted) that could be posted into the "category" subdirectory based on the intent of the writer. This way there is a certain organization to the site with links within the blog itself as well as some dynamic scripts I would have in the menu system pulling page info from each subdirectory.

Any ideas???

slash and moveable type have that functionality built in. Slash is difficult to get going, but solid. Moveable type has a relatively high learning curve to get set up properly as well, but very powerful. Wordpress will do it to. You can also check out Typo3.
