backlinks increasing but site going down in alexa too

Strange things happening to me .
I am working on my site very hard and spending many sleepless nights to make backlinks to it so that it may rank higher

i have got aroung 1000 backlinks in a week's time considering that my site is 4 months old and PR0 but now i am facing a strange problem

a few days back i was having a good traffic and some of my keywords in the top 10 but now everything is reversing and the site is also going down

i have checked alexa and it also shows that the site is going down also traffic is also slowing

what may be the reason .is it that i was getting the links very fast like 1000 backlinks ina week

 

i have the same problem especially last week .. traffic is decreasing

Serps constantly change, continue with your links but dont forget to keep adding new content.

 

But is it because i am making a lot of backlinks and that too very fast

like 1000 backlinks in one week ?

 

I'm not sure about the SERPs, but alexa ranking has nothing to do with backlinks.
They only care about how many ppl visiting your site that using their toolbar.

 

YEs mey be u r right but google might have an effect on the backlinks
now i have heard many peoples saying to go slow in making backlinks or google will start hating us

 

for a 4 month old site, yes that is a lot.

 

yes i know today when i checked my link popularity at submit express it showed 1980 backlinks

and on 20 may i was having around 356 backlinks after that i submitted my website to many directories manually , posted on many forums
participated in google groups and like that

pleas e let me know my rank droping is due to fast backlinks or there may be another factor?

 

I also think that its just a google's fluctuation
i checked yahoo and msn
my keywords are in previous positions

Just write articles and submit them, and directory submissions will do it.

 

alexa is waste of time. it only shows the stats about who has installed the alexa toolbar. it's not related with backlinks. if your alexa ranking is going down , this means people who has installed the alexa toolbar is not visiting your site

 

Google will punish quickly accumulated links, afaik because they are not 'natural'
