I am looking for free ways to market new product site to get hundreds of extra visitors per day?

 

I think a way is to provide good content which makes people wanting to come back

 

Good Content with good targeted keywords., let SE index your pages and drive the traffic..ofcourse its time consuming.

 

how bout listing site in directories? does that help? I was told buying solo ads is also a great way is this true? sorry i am just wondering what i should all consider

 

If the directories is specialized for your niche.. most people use them just for building back links and gaining PR.

A free way you can do is a link exchange with a similar niche site..

 

Here are a few way you can get more visitors to your site:

1. Write article related to your website contents with keyword density of 2%-3% and submit it to article directories.

2. Bookmark your site to social bookmarking sites

3. Start participate on link building

4. Create a Squeeze Page and participate your squeeze page on Traffic Exchange program to get more opt-in visitors with a free report.

5. Submit your site to Web Directories and SE

6. Forum posting with your signature link to your site

7. Blog review with a backlink to your website

8. Write press release for your site and submit it to press release directories.

9. Create RSS feed for your site and submit to RSS directories

10. Squidoo...Stumble Your Site...Create a Small Banner and Place it on Your Car with your Web Address printed on it...

Write an article specifically for link baiting.

A "Top 10 Tips" kind of article related to your product or industry.

1. Then promote the article using the big 3: StumbleUpon.com, Digg.com and Reddit.com

2. Write a press release specifically promoting that article. And submit it to free press release directories.

3. Approach 10 top bloggers in your industry and send them a short email about your article.

Make sure you don't make your article sound sales-y. Or people won't make it spread virally. You need a soft selling approach.

This will bring in a lot of traffic for 3-4 days. So make sure you have a good host before you follow the plan. After that - do what everyone else is suggesting: add good content regularly.

Let the good content bring in traffic slowly and steadily.
Write 1-2 super-articles every month to bring in the huge spikes of traffic intermittently.
