    Advertising (learn more)

Advertise virtually anything here, with CPM banner ads, CPM email ads and CPC contextual links. You can target relevant areas of the site and show ads based on geographical location of the user if you wish.

Starts at just $1 per CPM or $0.10 per CPC.

And this is how NOT to make money from adsense

actually nevermind - i think i figured it out.

displaying 4 ad units is definitely against the TOS - the iframe part is ok i think.

iframes are fine, as an adwords advertizer I see nothing wrong with this site (other than the 4 ads trick)It really isnt any worse than what you pay for to be in the adwords for search program, I mean think about it, Google itself is just a scaper program too, right? It scapes yours and my websites and sorts them via keyword throwing ads all around the scraped content.

henny - using don harold's google arguments on scraped content again eh? (creator of AB) - i'll admit he does make good points.

as an advertiser i think it's fine too.. besides, i agree with you anyway. all im saying is the adsense TOS says 3 ad units, 1 search box and 1 set of text ads... 4 ad units violates the tos.

not that im against violating google's webmaster TOS, but violating their adsense TOS isn't that smart...

on a sidenote i know you from somewhere else [IMG]

    All right,
You guys say these kinds of websites do convert a visitor into a buyer, fine. so for that matter should we all webmasters start building websites like that?? without any quality content?
if those sites are ok and nothing wrong then why suggesting anyone to make a website with good qualty contents?
What one has to do is only make a webpage with a li'l text(Specialy a para stuffed with high paying keywords) and few pics, make an adword compaign to drive traffic and posting some threads in some forums, place adsense codes within the page and voila, Done!!!
is this a right way to make money? In my thoughts definately not!!
Come-on, this is not only about adsense and adword, but when a visitor clicks on a link he/she expects a good site with some material, not somthing crappy like that.

google (the company) secretly likes pages like that.

    google (the algorithm) hates them.

I am not concerned with google. for me its matter of Webmasters like me who try to make websites with high quality contents and earn money, and Visitors like me who surf net and click on URLs and expect a site with good contents.
and as a matter of fact I wont even think to click on any ad placed on pages like this site. so no chance to convert me into a potential buyer.

Perhaps. but again this doesnt justify the reason of making such webpages.
the same page would be nice of there were some good informative text about home business or something like that.

last time i checked it wasn't a crime to build & upload pages without any quality content...

afterall, this guy didn't request the search engines come index the pages... they just did it anyway. :D
having said that, it is SE's job to determine whether or not the page deserves good ranking or not... G does a great job of filtering out crap...

I Agree. This guy while a daredevil yes, is no idiot, and knows exactly what he is doing right down to the iframe trick. This page is almost perfectly optimized for adsense. I say almost, because I can think of a couple of enhancements to even further the process, but I'm not telling, some one here may snitch on me too :)

Over all, this is definitely in the top 40 Best adsense optimized pages I've seen this month. And I know he must get a fair amount of clicks. And I bet he has hundreds if not thousands of these pages, so I wonder who's laughing harder?

WRONG! Too much information and content distracts from the most important element on the page, THE FREAKING ADS!

I mean, why bother with the ads if you don't want any one to click on them, hell if your more concern with content, then remoce the ads, because the ads may distract some people from all the useful information and content on the page :)

I love all the self-appointed web cops here who think it's their job to decide what should be on another site. If you don't like a site, leave it.

The only TOS violation I see on that page is having 4 ad blocks. My guess is if Google sees it they will probably just tell the owner to limit it to 3.

I'm not saying I personally thing that page is wonderful, just that maybe some should mind their own business a little more. (No, I don't have any pages that look like that one.)

problem with that thinking, is that the more junk sites that show adsense ads and the lower the conversion is, the less advertisers will use content advertising and everyone makes less money.
