Does Adsense search pay less than adsense for content?

:confused:I'm just wondering because since I started using adsense over two years ago, I always make more from adsense for content ads than the adsense for search. Anyone know if this is just the way it is?

Many advertisers put more money into search because it gives better quality traffic, but it's much easier for publishers to get clicks on content ads than search ads, in general anyway.

AdSense for Content only need 1 click for earnings, but AdSense for Search need 2 click for earnings. That's why AdSense for Content more promising....

Search clicks tend to be worth less. But in theory, they should the same because it matters on the keyword clicked rather whether it appears on ads or serch.

It depends on the search the user made, besides AS for content has better conversions

In my opinion its nearly equal or at least not 'big' difference to be noticed.

I agree with DLGx. I see higher CPC on my search result clicks, compared to the image/text content.

Basically, There is no different earning between Adsense for Search and Adsense for content, but I have more clicks with Adsense for content. Just an example, I got 2 clicks for Adsense for Search rather than 40 clicks for Adsense for Content :) .

i agree i find content ads work better - its hard to get a % of people to click once let alone click twice for search.
