i know that .NET names are usually less, what would you think B9M.net would be worth?

What if letter X is used as part of PX that can well stand for "pixel"?
    Would that make a difference?

I dont get PX equaling Pixel... however.. PiXL would be nice.. but its taken. VYLT.COM is my nice little 4 letter. I'll be silently developing it and holding it for 5 to 10 years.

I have about 50 to 60 of them now.

Still buying, my idea is to wait for 5 years and then see what they are going to be worth.

My main concern is that good to park them with sedo or is there a better service.

What is best to do with the names I have while I am waiting for 5 years.

    Thanks

Can some one tell me if I am buying any good names or if I am doing something wrong.

When all the 4's have gone... everyone will move on to the 5's - then we'll all look back and the 4's will have increased in value :)

I still have a bad feeling about domains like kwqf.com & co value.
can't see it increasing much, not in 5 years time, not ever. Good names will be priced higher as they get older, not matter the character count, while as pqkf.com's will end up trashed.. You may bookmark my post and get back to it later. See if my thougths are wrong..

Exponent, nice to see you again.
If you get vylt.com from ebay, then it is from me.
I think that is the last batch of domain i sold on ebay.
Now i am more concentrated on end user.
I may still sell once in a long while on the forums/ebay.

A radio station might call itself kwqf, and if it makes big, why cannot kwqf be sold for xxxx?

To invest in domain names, always pay attention to end users. Domainers might temporarily manipulate some market, but over the long run, end users are what really matters.

That would be the most uninspired radio station to pick a name like kwqf ;)
My position stands. Some names will never make any value, just because not everything on earth is gold or will ever be as valuable as gold, to give an example..

Well that is not completely true..

CCC.coms sells for atleast 100$.. With no apparent value than being CCC.coms..

Also remember that new domainers are added to out flock each day.. The bigger demand.. The higher price..

Its not like you can produce some extra LLLL.coms if the demand rises..

Why kwqf is bad? looks like kwqc is a very big tv station?

Somebody said the same thing about three letter domain, they are left behind. Let's wait and see.

Look, I do appreciate everyone's business. But well, kwqc.com will earn you nothing. Just because... let me think, a radio station will rather register kelvinwarnerqualitycenter.com than a worthless .com domain. It's simply ridiculous :) Oh well, I really hope one will catch the right buyer for a nonsense 4 letter domain just because some website is qualifying it as valuable and because a business needs those initials. Other than that, it's a waste of money. And time. Full stop.

The plain fact is that 4 letter domain can sell easily into xxxx. Just look at last week's dnjournal:
    Kwik.com $30,000
    Freo.com $20,000

Three of top 20 domains sold are llll.com.

I'm not sure why this thread got bumped, but not much has changed for the 4 char domain market since this thread was created 6 months ago.

the amount of four letter domains are quickly running out. although the amount being dumped are also alot.
i recommend buying a lot four letter .coms and let them age. that will alos help you with sandbox effect.
