I prefer the first because I do not think a gradient fits your site. I would choose black though if it didn't have the grad.

Now. I will be honest with you (good intentions, I swear.) I think the layout does not look good, and you can easily solve that. Just search on Google for standard-compliant CSS templates. There are hundreds of attractive templates out there that you can customize for your needs.

Also, I can give you a nice template for free. It is done by me, unique, and isn't used anywhere. Just let me know.

    Good luck!

I prefer the second, the green color on first is too brilliant for me.
But instead of black background with white letters, I prefer the standard white background with black reason. The reason is your site theme: all loans terms shold be very CLEAR, and IMHO a black background doesn't reflect that impression.
Also on your AdSense ad you should remove your border to achieve a better integration Ad/content.

The black and yellow makes for a very crisp appearance, and if you took out the gradient it would look even better (it seems to muddle your site).

    I say neither.

To be completely honest, both look highly unprofessional and unpromising. I would not trust the site based upon the poor design. Try something new. :)

Now looks better, but IMO you should fix the bottom: draw the yellow lines to the bottom or draw an horizontal yellow line (like a box).
