I would recommend --you to try the Free version of phpLYNX -- for 2 reasons

    1) Its very new --so little chances of duplicacy.
    2) even the free version is simply amazing.

    With $25 payment, you will be bale to use v 3.06, 3.1 & 3.2.
3.2 is the most recent release which also have an option of Articles.

I would recommend phpLD and go with v3.2 :)

Hey uttoransen, as you'll see with dozens of these posts every single one of us will try and promote our own favourites and big it up to the max, even though I would push phpLynx free version all the way as pound for pound the best free directory script about this is just MY opinion as it also has free unlimited support, as does the full version.

Saying that i'd still go with everyone else's views and look at options before plunging in. Don't take our words for it, check out the features of each script and let that do the talking, only you know what you want out of a directory script. Best of luck no matter what you end up using. :)

I've used PHPld and ADP (astanda directory project) - problem with ADp is that the interface on the admin side runs kinda slow. but it builds a search engine as well.
