I left my "Day Job" back in January to pursue my company full time. Once you guys have more time to put into your websites, the earnings will increase. I have been spending most of my time with SEO, I have 3 sets of keywords that I am targeting and top 10 for 2 of them. Once i get top 10 for the third, that traffic will be pretty good..

    Good luck

If you have the time and the know how, the earning potential certainly is there. We don't all have the time you do, but your advice in terms of know how would certainly be helpful. Do you wanna post a top ten or something like that?

I think I've pretty much optimized my adsense as much as possible and ranked my sites as highly as possible for now. So I'm looking at starting a new one. But on what?

My new goal is to start a new site on something by the end of this month, but am a little short of inspiration.

The Overture bid and keyword tools always provide me with enough inspiration for new site topics.

The easiest way would be to type in general terms in the keyword tool - ie 'business', then look at a few popular phrases (eg. 'business services') and keep flicking back and forth to the bid tool checking various phrases and what the top 10 advertisers are paying. If they're reasonable ammounts it's time to contract a writer and go to war. :D

Averaged $30/day last month, 6 month goal is $100 per day, 2 year goal is $300 per day when I'll leave my day job behind and go fulltime on my own.

Only one money making site currently, working on getting 30+ up within the next 12 months.

I'm not at my goal yet, but it's going in the right direction.
The 7/28 I posted my goal of $50 a day and wrote that I where currently at around $15.
I'm now pretty consistantly at above $20 and yesterday I broke $30 for the first time with $31.69.

99% of the revenue is still from just one site.

As mentioned, I'm looking for a new site idea... something I'm interested in is cooking and look up recipes on those kind of sites. No idea how they monetise them though. As the old mantra goes, build the site on a topic you know about and are interested in etc... but I think I'm going have to keep searching for a topic that attracts decent paying AdSense ads.

Yeah! Idea is the key...since i joined AdSense i found myself brainstorming every day and thinking of something that would attract other people and i have the interest to do. Its kinda fun and i wrote down all the ideas for new site and now it pile up to more than 10 ideas. I hope i have the time to implement it and get something out of it :D

I have dozens of ebooks full of recipes. That is a good revenue for recipe sites ..plus google ads.

I find that content articles draw traffic and a easy to read colorful site often gets bookmarked for more visits.

I think recipes is too competitive to start now, too many good and very large sites already, IMO

Yes I think you are right. Unless you could merge recipes with something else. Something less competitive or something really hot. and give out free stuff. (like ebooks) Anything can sell if you give it the right spin.:D

Can we confirm that each bar represents one day/week?
