Actually I think it's quite a nice site.

I'm not overally keen on the dark gothness of it, but I guess thats final Fantasyish.

Thanks, I don't consider it to be "goth" also there is a really light theme that users can choose from when they register.

 

I didn't mean goth negatively. I just meant it's very dark. But thats great that they have a choice once they register.

I really like the layout and colours. Nice and simple, original....
I can't comment on the contents as I don't know anything about it

I think you've got off to a good start but remember your users will be used to very high end design and graphics from looking at these games all day.

have a look at this site and check out some of their stuff. I know they've probably had a team of people working on it but it could give you some ideas.

Hi David,

I'd also show more ads on the RHS. e.g. a taller ad box. Within reason, the more ads you show, the more likely something is going to interest a visitor. I only had one ad displayed.

Maybe get some sponsored links as well up there which you provide for free initially... to get the site looking a little busier.

Thanks Notting Hi Stuey, thanks for the suggestion but I rather not add anymore ads on the FF homepage since that site is more of a hobby. I have the ads in the forums enough anyway

You might want the top banner for the forums to link back to main site, or a "home" link up there.
