Hello, Just wondering, is Google PR important for Bid for position directories? More importantly does PR affects one's decision to submit to Bid for position directories? Cheers
All I can say is yes. I don't know what it is but I will submit to a regular PR0 directory and even pay a lower review fee but for some reason I'm hesitant to submit to a PR0 bid directory even if it's a buck.
No, it isn't. NOt to me. I have submitted my Bidding Directory to some others, and if those provide traffic, I increase the bid. Nothing to do with PR.
Well My Site is a pr0 because it was made after the last update, but i feel its worth submitting too,as i feel its worth all the money im spending on promotions..So i would say low PR now,may equate to good PR later
Same here, before i submit i will check the Pagerank. caz ppl mostly submit to bid directory depends on Pagerank.
If its a high traffic bid directory with PR0 - PR doesn't matter.. I have seen bigweblinks getting lot of submissions even though it was PR0..
The sole purpose of bid for position directories is webmasters bidding to appear on higher pr pages. That being said, if the owner is known for promoting their directories heavily, people will submit based on future expectations.
Traffic is more important (if you could get accurate figure) as it means they are doing something right. PR is good to feed you addiction.
I will chip in a buck or two to almost any bid directory ... If it starts to get serious then I will look at backlinks and the link PR, who is the owner and PR of his other sites. You might want to look at the number of outbound links per page as well ... there are some that over do it. For top dollar bids I may even look at Alexa and Page strength. Check out who has already bid before you ... sometimes that is a factor as well. If you wait for Google to update the PR then it is probably already factored into the price.
I try to buy links in all the new directories regardless of pr .We all remember what it is like to have a new website and waiting for new orders.I dont bid high to be on front page , i figure if a directory has pr5 or higher eventually the inside pages will get pr too.Traffic and Serps is what I pay high money for ,you need a good balance of links you buy for pr and links that actually gets you real clicks and real people.
Isn't PR important for all directories? You can say unless it gives you traffic, but from what i've seen, it's usually the directories with PR that give you the most traffic. Niche directories might get away from this a little as they usually target traffic in their specific niche. Scott.
