Hi, Just checking what kind of software / system others are using for managing their links campaigns (Links Manager kind of stuff). Feedback and Recommendations welcome. Thanks Ajeet
I think you should give Arelis a go. Someone here recommended it to me so I gave it a quick try just before I lost my regular Internet connection and it had some really good features. This site gives you an overview of what it can do and takes you to the site, let me know what you think of it
Hi Ajeet I have been am using link swapper you can find it at http://www.link-swapper.com it is a free tool that works really well for me to swap links and check reciprocation. I also tried arelis but it it is not exactly a tool for swapping links, more to send letters and ask for alink exchange. You would need a releable link exchange tool like link swapper for the actual link swapping job. hope this is helpful. undefined Sahar
Here is my reciprocal link software recommendation. The developer who helped SEO this program told me about it and I love it.
The ones which have been mentioned to me are: Links Assistant Link Swapper PHP-Link Trader Duncan Carver's Link Management Assistant Easy Link Exchange LinksManager.com Axandra Arelis
Of the desktop and web solutions above (Will) I'd recommend Duncan Carvers. It's entirely web based, and has more functionality than any other links management software I've seen. It's free, it's flexible, and you don't need to be a genius to drive it. You can even seed the directory with DMoz listings if you want to. The drawbacks: It includes rotated text ads in the footer (from the authors server). It pulls the dmoz content from authors server (via an app). It pulls PR per listing per page (a lot of talking to G) Cheers, JL
P.S I would not enclude Arelis on the list since I think it is not a link directory rather a tool to send e.m for links. I think it would be hard to manage your links with this tools. As for links manager I would not advice using it for other reasons.
Have looked at a few of these products, but they don't seem to cover the option of checking that my link still appears (in the future) on the site where it should be.....At the moment I spend an age going though my own log one by one, should I get more links (I will) this could take weeks...bit like painting the 4th bridge... What do others do, use.....?? Ian p.s. Am on a windows server!
tried arelis , cant see how someone can manage a directory with this tules. looks like a good tool to send to send e.m but to run a directory no. Way too complicated
You are incorrect. Arelis manages link exchanges very well and you use to create link exchange directories. It auto gens your directory pages based on your link partner input and an html template. It works very well for me. I use it on 35 sites although at this point my company is developing in house link exchange software which is customized to our requirements. However for a 1 or 2 site project, Arelis rocks. By the way, I NEVER use arelis to find link partners. That's a waste of time. Optilink is a much better tool for that.
hi catfish dont you find that using it would be hard for a newbie ? e.g the need to use template. there are some tools where eveything is already made out and the only skill necessary is to add and remove links
You are wrong bro.. It is a link directory software and it works perfectly if you have a small number of sites.
I wrote my own link management software with PHP and mySQL. It doesn't do recip checking right now but it's fine as it is. It seems a lot of people use the infowizards.com links manager. It's free, I believe.
there is a link in this post to check out -- http://blogsforbuds.blogspot.com/2005/01/fighting-with-link-issues.html
I heard good stories about linkmachine.com Andy Williams wrote in his latest newsletter and was excited about it. They have a free version with easy installation. I use reciprocalmanager, it's a great script when poeple signup, then you only have to approve them but exchanging is a little difficult, however you can import links from searchinges done from the control panel, that is useful.
