    No SEO => Almost no traffic => Almost no money

    If you're blogging just for fun and you're 12, I suppose you don't need SEO :D

    there is no one specific method for SEO.. have a look around the forums to get tips on what you could do to improve your seo.. link building is always good :)

    Not exactly correct.

    SEO gives you Pagerank and that has nothing to do with Traffic (unless you enjoy viewing PR7-10 websites all day :D).

    SEO can help you SERP's which help your traffic, which help you get $$$.

    SEO => SERP'S => TRAFFIC + Ad Placement :D => MONEY

    Blogs are personal page but it is used to promote site by SEO's If you have good and valuable information about any service providing on your site then blogs help in improving traffic. It is more effective if you update your blog daily and submit it in blog directories also.

    Himalayan was right, it is just a personal page but it will depend on your purpose on doing it. If it just your hobby or for fun, there is no need for seo. Blogs can produce traffic to your site.

    Agree with you on the last points, but I dont think SEO gives you PageRank. It can be true in a way, but actually links get you PR, and it is a part of SEO.

    SEO itself involves other things also, like on-page and on-site optimization, so it will not lead to an improved PR.

    If you SEO your site well, it can rank in search engine for your targeted keywords and you can earn money from adsense if you put adsense on your blog.

    seo will help you to get better serp results. better serp means more visitors and i think you can imagine what visitor means. it's more $$$$ and more $$$$ :D
