For those who do not want to get -ve rep, it's simple. Do not insult others and stay away from discussion that involves politics, religions or race. If you have nothing nice to say, it's better to shut up.

Those discussions are for people who are brave enough not to beg or nag when they are flooded with reps ( -ve & +ve)
