I am planning to launch an affiliate website, but like my other projects i am facing the universal webmasters problem .. Lack of traffic. I know there are some big ones out here earnings thousands via their affiliate sites, how do they get enough traffic to get such sales.

• wordpress themes sponsoring
• proper keyword optimization

Have been in the business for years
Have acquired hundreds and thousands of backlinks to boost their SE ranking
Researched high paying keywords
Have submitted several articles to directories and getting visitors and passive visitors through rss syndication
Have invested money in PPC programs like adwords

Free traffic exists but you need to supplement with paid ads if you want to spend less time on the pc to generate thousands of Dollars through adsense.

 

In the beginning, it's always an uphill battle.

If it's an affiliate website you are launching, determine your acceptable profit margins and do AdWords.

 

When you are starting up, it would take a bit of time to get decent traffic. That's why there's DP. Just read, learn, and apply and you'll get traffic in no time.

A question which kept on flashing through my mind, why would peoples be interested to do link exchanges with sites which don't have any traffic themselves

PS I've already a lot of money in internet business and i am currently on a VERY low budget, so can't afford Pay Per Click advertisement at the moment ( i may just go bankrupt ). Any solutions to that?
