Inspired by a car crash thread I got curious on one thing. Do you use seat belts when you drive or is a passenger in a car ?

If you don`t, why not ?

Hey I use it always. I mean whenever I am in the car.

But out of the car I never use the seat belt.

In canada they tag you with some heavy tickets if you don't wear one. When I was growing up during the 80's no one weared them, but now pretty much everyone has them on.

Of course like the poster above it's a habit, not because of that saftey stuff.

Always! it's just common sence. It's not that i dont trust my driving it's that i dont trust anyone elses lol:D . But other than that one simple thing that can save your life not to mention a heafty fine from mr plod has got to be worth doing in my minds eye.
    Just my 2 cents.

Use it only on long trips. The cops on the highways are little hard to get by. Within the city, nope.

It becomes second nature when it's a legal requirement as it is here in the UK.

Yeah... I don't want to get caught by a police without it.

Also, the chances of surviving an accident is better when you use seat belts. :)
