wget not working , DNS issues ?

    Recently in my server I am unable to use the wget or ping to connect to any site in the internet except for the ones locally hosted.

    This is what I get.....

    server# wget http://www.google.com
    --09:25:42-- http://www.google.com/
    => `index.html.1'
    Resolving www.google.com... failed: hostname nor servname provided, or not known.

    server# ping google.com
    ping: cannot resolve google.com: No address associated with name

    Can anyone point out what could be wrong ? I am really confused at this point as the resolve.conf seems to be ok.

    Yes, check whether your resolver working or not. But most probably your resolver IP has been blocked by the firewall. So you may try flushing your firewall rules and permit the resolver IP in the allow list. That should fix your problem.

    Remember to include your DC Resolver inside as well :)

    The DC provides Resolver IPs after serve has been deployed. Without it, your server is just a box with few circuits and chips.
