Great, then people can look down on me while they brown nose their next useful business associate who can help get their ad campaigns off to a nice start. ;)

I aren't going to filter myself just 'cos there may be a few people in here, that if I ran my business like, I could benefit 'lucratively' from. I don't do business like that, and I wouldn't do it with anyone who thought just 'cos I swore a bit and flailed a few honest comments around they thought I was someone not worth doing 'business' with. I couldn't careless, you're right.

I know exactly the type of people I'm been looked down upon by. They're way too serious and hard up and it shows in the ammount of work they do.

There's many giving me positive comments though, else my ratings would be horrendous by now. Aslong as there's people who /get/ me, or agree.. I don't mind. They're the ones I'd like a drink or two with. ;)

But thanks for the tip anyway. I can't operate like that, though.

    Pete

Given my description you must visit some crazy websites Summer! :p

Ummm, excuse me. Yes I do look down upon the way you present your point, but don't neccessarily disaggree with what your point is. I just think you could serve yourself better by speaking a little kinder. Of course it is your choice...but the Topper guy makes a great point!

I know a lot of people who like to stand out by how abrassive they are with others, giving the "**** you all" attitude, I dont need you. Burning bridges will leave you alienated. Unless you are the only person in your industry that can provide a particular service, in time you will just work yourself out of a job.

this ties in with the original thread, a few slips and a great opportunity has been lost. When you burn enough people, it will get around and you will find help if hard to find.

Done for now, continue with the rank. (we were talking about the coop bans if you forgot)

ok - I have finished sucking up, it doesn't work. I couldn't give crap~ about the Co-op anymore, and I'm happy to stick with the other somewhat better alternatives. :)

First, I'm going to say, most of the things in this thread are completely untrue. It's a shame Shawn doesn't remember how it happened. The site was approved with the "objectionable content" (although I don't see quite how it was objectionable, I have seen worse in the Co-op). I figured agreeing was the best way to go (afterall-who would you believe?) -- but I'm not getting anywhere.

The banned site was an image gallery. It was right from the start. I did buy the images off eBay, and they were online when the site was approved. The site was always adult related (or targetted towards adults).

Thanks to those who expressed an interest in W3Dictionary.com, but I'm not interested in selling. Thanks to those who advertised LV via PM, too - but I'm already signed up and have $50/month going there way.

{scratching head} Why would you care about getting the site back into the ad network to begin with when you have better alternatives to start with? Seems kind of a pointless waste of everyone's time to me.

    Really? Where?

Your site was thousands of pages of adult content/photos. For you to question that it should be allowed in the ad network even though it clearly disallows adult content seems silly.

    http://web.archive.org/web/20041120005014/http://www.tilanguyen.org/

The content was not the same when the ad was reviewed. Previously you said it was your friend who added the ad to your ad network account. So you really should pissed off at him more than anyone else, because he got your site banned from the ad network (also should be a lesson for you to not give out your login/passwords to people you can't trust).

Now i'm not going to disagree that this MAY be considered adult, but hardcore porn? I think you'd have a small chance of arguing that it's even porn (it's art..) let alone hardcore porn.

    Pornography defined (Taken from dictionary.com)
    por·nog·ra·phy Pronunciation Key (pr-ngr-f)
    n.

    1. Sexually explicit pictures, writing, or other material whose primary purpose is to cause sexual arousal.
    2. The presentation or production of this material.
    3. Lurid or sensational material: “Recent novels about the Holocaust have kept Hitler well offstage [so as] to avoid the... pornography of the era” (Morris Dickstein).

Banning quality sites, including this art site with quality content while keeping so many of these made for adsense sites is just silly imo. But I'm glad scott now has the sense (as do I) to move onward. God help us the day that someone should say sex on a website or display a nude art gallery

Will pass on something google alerts sent:

It never ceases to amaze me how people are given trust to begin with, waste it, and then wonder why they have a hard time earning it back. Begging for it does not work, demanding it does not work, and while you can put the incident aside, the mistrust remains; one must at that point prove they are trustworthy to simply gain what they lost.

And Gadood, I don't mind the language, but the library, internet kiosks, and internet cafes I use from time to time filter, some by domain. While I do not have to be here, it does take away alot of stress to come in here. Those that filter by domain will toss everything - keyword tracker included, which I look at daily. And I am guilty of pushing the limits occasionally...

Edit: Gotta love adsense. Showing a link for personals on that post...

It doesn't matter how you want to classify your porn site. Hard-core, soft-core, erotic art, etc, It's does't matter. As stated on the coop home page:

"The type of ads that can be displayed from the network will not include gambling, adult or pharmaceutical related ads."

Lets pretend for a second that this is really an "art" site (it's not). Even if this was art it is still adult/erotic art, therefore it's an adult site and not allowed in the coop.

Well hurry up and move on then
