An alternative to Adsense that works

I have been running ASK related search for a week or so now with some pretty promising returns which have in most cases been a compliment to Adsense.

It does outperform Adsense by quite some way on some of my sites and could be a much cleaner solution for some webmasters who suffer from ad blindness and/or poor performing monetisation at present. Slow to roll out though and only open to larger publishers in the UK/USA, nice to have something new at our disposal though.

Look goods, the only concern is the domain registered only on 01-Feb-2007, could be a new company.

Goo dpoint, the distribution company is new, ASK.com obviously are old and have announced they will spend 100 million this year increasing awareness, I have confirmed with ASK.com that the distribution partner is real.

Hi, this topic was posted in the wrong section I believe.

This should be in the Pay-Per-Click area.

Anyway, thanks to you sji2671, my site has been accepted into the program and I am testing them out. :D Hopefully I can post good results like you. :)

I thought the PPC would be for advertising related posts rather than publishing, let me know how you get on D-Block, I'll do a summary in a few weeks again to see how it maintains.

DOes ASK pay for clicks generated from their search through your site? If so, is it like adsenne?

You suggest a term for the related search and keywords are generated which is placed on your site using Javascript, the related links are related search terms, you can see the layout on my tattoo site on the right hand side.

So its like Google search but with actual suggested related search terms, it therefore looks more like part of your website and has a very high CTR.

Does anyone else have more feedback with this ?

I just registered and it looks very good, but I need to wait to see actual results...I'd be interested to hear how it is going for other sites / what kind of sites are doing well etc

    Cheers

Please clarify this for me. Is this similar to Adsense or Adwords?

Probably similar to Adlinks except you get a large generated list of related search terms that open in a new window.

My figures for yesterday are looking very good, up on Adsense but I do normally get a lower cpc so it may vary, takes 24 hours before you start getting stats.

Perhaps it is best described as being similar to adsense 'link units'
Take a look at the 'related searches' box in the example mentioned above.

The few people I have heard talk of it speak very highly. One key difference from adsense is that the clicked links open in a new window.
