Make User Names RED for Banned Members in itrader Comments

I was banned once but not for anything related to my business ethics, so it would be unfair if it were a parmanent record, but if the username was shown as red if the member is banned at the time of viewing then yeah good idea, and it should be like that by default really, I wudda thought so anyway .....

Yes, It would help to know when a person mostly only got iTrarder from a banned person. That's the whole point of iTrader, to get to know whether you should trust someone.

 

But remember users can get banned for not bad behaviour or unethical business, they can get banned for not following rules which has nothing to do how business is done. So, its upto the user doing trading to do search properly and replying on "red" color does not help.

 

Yes but like I've already said, if a new member has only a few itraders and all of them are banned members what would you think?

 

I would think that those getting banned were unlucky . Will check the old banned members stay period at dp ofcourse what else would i check ? But i do not usually check for itrader, spin sponsored my template, i freaked out he was new with only 2nd post in my thread, but i gave him chances and no chargeback or anything occured , so its all about taking chances in life. I seen people with good itrader and what not still doing bad deeds and scamming.

So red color will not help too much well atleast me anyways.

 

Good idea, I would like to see this. I always wanted to see the TR in the postbit as well.

 

Good idea but it wont b easy to implement,there r some members that get banned for some small durations also( coz of infraction system).

 

Can we hear something from Shawn or just members gonna be post here and vote out their opinions.

Its recommended and has no great coding, I guess.

 

For them, it can show Banned for that time. Banned are Banned. If you do mistake, you get the result!

 

I agree with identification of those - however I am unsure of how much modification this would entail for a vB based board - furthermore if it required moderators to do all the footwork I can see this becoming something of a Goliath task to accomplish.

Unless the mods can do it without furthering their dedicated time that they already give to the community, I doubt this would happen since it would be very difficult to manage.

 

Well I sure don't want to add more work to the wonderful mods here at DP, I was thinking if it could be implemented it might take some of the workload off of them.

It would allow normal users to give the mods a heads up on duplicate accounts as we come across them.

I'm going to find an example of a banned member who abused itrader with his other accounts soon and post it here for everyone to see how this would have helped in this particular case. Now I just have to find one. I think I'll start my search in content creation.
