Banned from DMOZ?

    Hi Everyone,

How do I found if my site was banned from DMOZ? I've submitted my site 3 or 4 times over the last few years and have never been accepted. My site is ColorCombos.com.

You have to work really hard to be labeled a spammer. 3-4 submissions doesn't even come close to being a spammer, it does however hurt review times in some cases. Don't worry about being banned if that is all you have done, but do discontinue resuggesting the same site. It's not helping anyone. :)

Your site is not waiting, nor has it been rejected. With the recent problems, you should resubmit your site.

I resubmitted it this afternoon. Would it be in the queue now?

    Thanks.

You haven't been banned but it takes a couple of days for the site to get into the queue. ;)

I've probably submitted my site 3 or 4 times since 2004. I never understood why it would be rejected.

    Thanks for checking!

Most of the submissions were lost in the October 2006 crash, so it's not a bad idea to resubmit if your last submission was before October 2006.

The techs are still working on it, but who knows how successful they'll be or how long it will take. On the plus side of it, seeing the resources AOL has thrown at fixing ODP has been very reassuring. I doubt they have any intention of letting it die regardless of the predictions of its eventual death. :D

    Keep the faith! ;)
