15 clicks and only $0.19 – How do I increase my income?

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by stevogarvey, May 14, 2007.

Hey Guys, until recently I have been lucky enough to have a high CPM however today I have checked my adsense account only to find that I have had 15 clicks and only received $0.19. Is it possible to increase the CPM? If so I am open for some suggestions.
    Thanks.

You may need to filter out low paying keywords or modify your keywords.

Check the ads on your site. Look at urls Do not click on own ads just check urls and go to the sites to see if they are adsense sites. If they have adsense ads or clickbank ads filter them out.

My per click goes up and down everyday but after i filtered some sites i earn more everyday.

Thank you for that website, I know understand. Low paying websites are those that are not particularly providing a service or product but want to generate traffic for their adsense. To avoid these I filter them out using adsense. Would that not take a long long time?

Is that your website in the signature ?

Well you could try making design a little different and using other ad formats. You could try with amazon book on dualism or something ... shoot me PM if you want a little private help ....

Hey thanks mate, no thats not my website as such, its just an article I did as an experiment attached to another site. I am planning on expanding, and of course the layout will be different. Cheers.

I don't understand why people stick with adsense if it is not working for them on some website ... I mean getting 1c a click is way to low ... ever considered that maybe putting something else will turn into more money easily ? For example getting 15 clicks and one sale out of those 15 clicks it can turn up much much more than those 0.19c :(

    Check out this thread ;)

The amount of income largely depends on what kind of site you have.

I get $1-2 per click on average - adsense isn't always that low an amount.

Two issues - (1) your content generates low paying ads - hey but that's tyour content!
    (2) your ads are not well placed

    What i suggest:

Change the background of your page to white
Change the links of your ads to blue
Put a links ad at the top of your page, and experiment with other ad types.

    Hope it helps,
    Gili

if this niche pay low, you can move on to other niche till you fine the right niche for you. ^^ other advertising program is just an optional after you got banned not when your account still working. there are tons of potentials you can earn from adsense. good luck.

It really does have to do with niche.... I have a few sites.... some average only a few cents per click while others average .50 to one dollar clicks.

I have found tech and entertainment clicks are low... while business and investing clicks are high paying.
