It's okay to put the following sentence right above an adsense ads? "This site is maintened with advertising income, read this to see why."
Nope - don't do it. If you were an advertiser - would you want to advertise on sites that incentivised clicks on this way?
That's not necessarily true. The site in question never comes out and says for their visitors to click on their ads. They just say the site runs Google Advertising. Of course I was always under the impression you should pretend the Google Ads DON'T EXIST, and never EVER mention it on your site, but maybe I'm wrong...
From thier site: Why am i seeing ads Like all sites that are published by AsianFanatics asianfanatics (http://asianfanatics. net) this wiki-based database is also a free for all site. But hosting is never free, especially when we strive for a responsive webhost. Therefor, all the AsianFanatics asianfanatics (http://asianfanatics. net) sites are hosted on dedicated servers which are quite expensive. The sites are mostly funded with non-invasive yet contentrelated advertisement like Google-adsense. That is asking for clicks. If you read the TOS the only word(s) you may put above the ad relating to it is 'sponsor' or 'sponsored by'
Where did you see that? This is the best I could find and I don't think it breaks the TOS at all: http://faq.asianfanatics.net/article.php?id=077 They did label the ads with words like "google_leaderboard" and "google_ads" but it seems like they just forgot to remove them from the template. An understandable honest mistake.
That is clearly a violation it even names Adsense ads by name. Drop Google an e-mail and they will contact the site and ask them to take down the disclaimer.. If they take it down they are likely to be fine, especially if they don't have any past issues. But you can not have language like that anywhere on your site where you have adsense ads.
Right above the google ads on the home page click "This site is maintened with advertising income, read this to see why " The above is also a TOS infraction, but the next page is even more so.
so is the digitalpoint forum stated "This is an ad revenue sharing forum" directly below adsenses ads violates adsense TOS too?
How does the statement: "This is an ad revenue sharing forum" encourage you to click on ads? Like I said, google is the final arbitrator of everything, if you have an issue or question on something ask them, none of us are qualified to give you an answer, except Adsense Advisor.
DP is saying this is "This is an ad revenue sharing forum" and if you ever click on the link you'll get this - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/faq.php?faq=revenue_sharing and As far as i can think it isnt a violation of TOS but using a sentence like - this site is supported by Google adsense is sure violating TOS as it is explicitely stated in TOS - This includes encouraging users to click on the ads or to visit the advertisers' sites as well as drawing any undue attention to the ads. So if you wudnt steal a handbag, u wudnt steal a car, u wudnt steal a kid's money, u wudnt steal a dog, u wudnt ask your visitors to pay attention to adsense.
So it should be ok? "This is an ad revenue sharing forum" right below adsense ad? The share is me 99.999999% all others share the rest.
