why not, if microsoft takes yahoo then the yahoo publisher network will be affected by this, and this can have some effect on my web hosting!!
i think my question was genuine, and i got a very nice reply, which i appriciate!:)

am not a random guy, am a client of yahoo small business!! am a paid coustomer, and i have the right to question when my hosting is conserned!!

well, they have always responded me with in 24 hours, sometimes they have answered me in a few hours of time, there coustomer care is great, and i highly value and respect there service!!
thanks for the good find part though! but then i asked them 4 days back, and they, this time took some time to answer my question, perhaps they got some sort of discussions on it, with some soft of a manager perhaps!!

yes, but then any staff can't be gussing there, i think they got it answered by some higher officials, not the CEO!! though,

Of course... A random person, Sorry, Not random person, An all mighty yahoo small business customer emails Yahoo out of the blue and asks about a $50 BN takeover and they are definately going to tell him the truth.

    What was you expecting them to say;
"yeh it's true, But don't tell anyone!"

I was supprised at the rumours, but even so, i think they will either partner up with microsoft, or sell to microsoft within the next few years. as they are seperate companies, neither of them has the power to take back Googles share of the market, so the only way i see them being hugely successfull is to partner together.

I think so, but maybe you should ask uttoransen to shoot the CEO an email to double check ;)

lol:D i know that is funny! but then the coustomer care could have answered in a different way, they could have told that they don't know or perhaps it deponds on time! all i want to say is, there answer was pretty direct and they are absolutely sure that this is just rumor!

this is a bit off topic! but then i have seen it on there blog, so i think this is no rumor and they are pretty certain about it!

if there was a real takeover, then perhaps the coustomer care would have told that they don't know! if the deal was going to happen, the coustomer care would not dare to say a straight answer on this.
just look at there reply, they are saying everything is just rumor! anyways it
looks to me from the answer that the coustomer care is correct, IMO!
    cheers!:)

That is the point I made earlier. I am certain that these customer seervice staff wont know anything about such a deal unless the papers are signed. :D

Until than they will be asked to keep their mouth shut. Also I dont think they will have a board meeting to answer such a question. :D

that was exactly my point, if the rumors were correct, the coustomer service people would keep there mouth shut, rather saying this directly that everything is all just rumors:rolleyes:

and forget about the board metings!:p but then the coustomer service people can easily contact some officials or managers arround, that is pretty normal i guess!

It is against corporate policy to divulge these kind of informations.
Even if one knows the company he is working is not going to make any profit next quarter, he is not supposed to share it in public unless the company makes a public statements since it affects share value

Yahoo is broken enough when the staff is answering questions like this but not any of their customer related subjects.

ya, they looks too strong actually, the reply was pretty straight foreword!
it took them 3-4 days to answer, that's a long time, they usually answer in 24 hours, [they were not having a board meeting on this:p ]

lol:D yahoo has always answered pretty fast, the coustomer care of yahoo is great, they answer pretty fast and there answers are direct and helping! cheers:D
