Can I change my user name?

Is there a way to change my user name here on digitial point?
i dont see it in user cp?

Just post here with the new ID that you want, shawn will change

Also, you can change your ID only once in a year.

Can I get my username to Yoshi.

REASON:

As I'm only 14 years old. My mum says that I have to change my username on my forums from my real name to a nickname or something for privacy because she seen me logged in on Digital Point with my real name as my username and she thinks that something bad could happen.

Sorry for any inconvenience and sorry if the database screws up if you do change my username.

 

curious: why did it take you one year to decide on that?

at first i thought your chances of getting your name changed is between slim and none. but seeing your post i think slim just walked out the door.

you cant change your name more than once per year.

That's a pretty good reason, using your real name on a public forum is a bad idea IMO.

 

Yoshi is a character from a favourite Nintendo 64 game i played for hours in front of the tv when I was round 3 years old called Mario Brothers Kart Racers. Ever since then I've been a Yoshi fan, Yoshi mugs, Yoshi shirts, you name it. I wore anything to do with Yoshi when I was younger.

 

What's is going to achieve? I mean every where on the forums where someone has quoted one of your posts your real name, Gareth X, is going to appear anyway.

 

the difference is in his age. kids *may* not know when and when not to divulge personally identifiable information. not to say gareth doesn't, but that's his mommy's point of view.

Writers, developers, and many others benefit from having their name posted on as many spots as they can.

I agree guys and completely understand why [unnamed individual] wishes to change his name. I just think it's closing the door after the horse has bolted - his name is all over his homepage and previous posts!
