    Hi there,

I want to know that on average how many sales of the products or the services are possible out of 1000 visitors per day. Visitors may be from the different sources like search engines, PPC, links, article marketing etc.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Regards

It also depends on the quality of your visitors and if they're part of your target audience or not.

Low Quality websites convert about 1 in 250, so that's 4.

Decent websites will convert about 1 in 100, so that's 10.

High quality, optimizated, usability tested websites will convert 5+ per 100, so 50+.

I would say, if it is visitors from :
    - Shopping.com : 100
    - Adwords targeted : 50
    - Google Organic resutls : 10

But of course it depends your product, price, competition,...

Nobody can give you an answer that can actually help, unless they spend hours and money studying your visitors, what you offer, where they come from, why they land on your site, etc. Even then, it would be just a number.

My take? 0-1000 sales. It really depends.

Anyway, good luck. Hope all of them make a sale for you. :)

WAY to many variables to consider, but I usually convert 1-3% of traffic so 10-30 sales.

edit: that is consider UNIQUE visitors.

Well you've heard the phrase "regardless of the outcome, a sale is made every time"

It's either you sell them a product, or they sell you on not needing the product, at least not from your site.

My experience shows about 5 sales a day from 1000 uniques - of course, for me, a sale is a referral...

i think nobody can predict the real sales % . that depents on your site and the quality of your PRODUCT. i believe the key point is the quality of your product

First off, sales are not dependent on the amount of visitors you get. You could get 1,000 visitors and get no sales, while another person gets 2 visitors and 1 sales. Which one would you rather be?

    Consider this instead:

What kind of ad copy are you using to try and convert visitors to sales?

Are you using an opt-in form? (If so...are you introducing an effective OTO and follow up emails)

Where are your visitors coming from?

    Are they targeted?

It's not about how you get them to your site until you figure out what your going to want them to do once they get there.

It much depends on traffic quality, if it is really targeted, if your auditory is those who purchase anything online...

Also, it doesn't really matter, the number of orders you will get, it matters the average shopping cart cost.

As for conversion, it usually about 0.1-1% for average products. So if you have 1000/day you can get 1-10 orders per day. But these numbers depend on traffic quality much.

If your website is selling a $5000 car for $100 then probably all 1000 will buy your product, so it really depends on the quality and price of the product you are selling.

Target your buyers. Give a 5% discount to all your buyers that take a simple survey on who they are.
