Why would you come on an open forum and tell people this? You know how many people are ready to report others? Seems a bit risky if you are really making good money with Adsense. JMO

WTF gave you that idea? Are you serious? LOL... NO PUB ID = NO CREDIT.

Re-read the thread. It is a VERY VERY VERY gray trick and I personally am not going to try it, but it does make sense.

It's been mentioned at least 50 times that it is against the TOS.

So to answer your question (51st time), this is against TOS.

I hope you mean coming onto the forum is risky, because like they say "Don't put all your eggs in one basket". Pretty good idea to spread it out around multiple accounts.

LOL Both are risky because it breaks the TOS of Adsense, but if you choose to do that, it is best not to advertise it on a forum.

If you are serious I will explain:

The trick is this... some people start getting paid a very low amount per click. It is linked to our publisher account and this "phenomena" is known as Smart Pricing.

The OP has kindly shown that he removed his pub-id from his Adsense code. Removing the code has caused Google to keep the earnings for itself since the funds can't be shared with another publisher since there is no code!

After a while the OP put his pub-id back after seeing that the Adsense spider stopped coming to his site as often as it did when there was NO pub-id (which is a bit suspicious) and found that he was getting paid HIGH clicks! This means that Google puts the high paying ads for itself (since there was a lot of Adsense spider activity when there was no pub-id) and give us crappy payout when it is time to share revenue.

Now I'm not 100% sure about the method or the research behind it, but it IS NOT A GOOD THING TO DO. You are in fact modifying the original Adsense code, and therefore going against TOS.

I got the whole point now. I prolly read it wrong..i thought by deleting the id you will get the money.. he actually meant remove the ad for a few days..in those days you wont get even a single penny. and put it back in.

dangerous stuff..and not recommended! i am anyways staying away..as i always do :D

never risk your account for a couple of $$$ :D

Not remove the ads, just the publisher code.

For people with large amounts of clicks/day who are getting smart prices, a couple of $$ is really a couple hundred $$. My Adsense has been affected strongly in the last three weeks but I hate to say I really don't have time to care about it now. Now in a month when I have some free time...

Lol. I still wouldn't risk my account, though. I am happy with the way things are going but most importantly diversify.

Is it possible that google intentially gives a better payout too new users for a week or two too get them hooked. Like a hidden introductory offer or something.

It depends on your conversions. If you convert well for advertisers, you will have no Adsense "downfalls."

I personally wouldn't try it , but I don't understand why its against the terms. If it is , then is DP breaking the terms as well ?
They are like changing the pub-id in their code like every second for revenue sharing.

If we are supposed paste the code as we receive it in adsense website , then I don't know how the revenue sharing system works.

    Do explain.......

I'm not sure about this. Never tried.

The closest example is DigitalPoint for this statement of you. There is revenue sharing on DigitalPoint, and they automatically change the code thousands of time in a day. Right?

Like I said before, never tried so I'm not sure.

Don't worry boy, I'm into this for a long time.

It's good that you understand it after reading it twice, rocket science

No problem for me, I'm not afraid. No risk, no gain.

    Great find/tip, etc.but....

Why play this cat and mouse with Google over few extra bucks? Who has time to go in and change publisher ID for the ads and then put it back on and then change again... just for few extra bucks? If you calculate, cost is pretty much the same with amount of time wasted to edit the ads and money lost when publisher ID isn't there.... and on top of that its highly possible that Google would ban you for this.
