Coop impressions halted?

Discussion in 'Co-op Advertising Network' started by obenix, Sep 4, 2005.

I have just checked the impression stats. I noticed that impressions for my ad stopped since 31-August-2005.
What could be the reason for this? Last I checked, my weight is 20..

I'm around the same weight category as you and mine are still ticking over...try a control f5 in that stats window.

A small weight (20 for example) is going to to give you really erratic impression data. Some days it will be higher than it should (based on percentage) and some days it will be 0. The higher your weight, the more even your day to day numbers will look (laws of averages come into play).

Thanks Shawn for your kind explanation.
My concern is that there has not been any impressions for the past 9 or 10 days...
I checked my stats again before posting this and it's still showing zero impressions since 31-August...:(

p.s. Just noticed, my weight is now 24..:)

Do you have weight bound to your master account, and your master account isn't validating?

I had the exact same problem. I had plenty of weight but the main account wasn't validating which means all weight is null.....

Unfortunately not. I only have one account and the coop says
Is this what you meant as "validating"?

Bah! Just checked the impression and nothing has changed...:( *sob*

You need to create another account.. with another of your domains. Doesn't matter if it's only a small amount of weight in this second account. Once the second account is created.. bind the weight from this one you're having problems with to the second account.. making THAT the master. Create ads in this new master.. and you should be fine.

I'll try that and post the result here...:)
    Thanks.

Just wondering, what happens when a webmaster has only 1 site?

    ---edit----
Just completed binding another site to my master. The binded site had 307weight :)o) but the master account is not showing any increase (maybe it needs time to update?) I've clicked on the consolidate weight action but no changes was detected. Let's hope some good news surfaces in a few hours time...

You will need to wait a full day/two days to see stats - certainly on a new account.

It needs two days worth of numbers to do a graph.

ohh, the zero you saw after consolidating the account normally fixes itself in 10-20 minutes. Let us know how it all worked out :)

BTW, you did make the second newly created account the master, right?

Well, the impressions freezing problem you encountered was a rare one to begin with. I just suggested a solution I used myself once to get the stats moving again. Was able to regain everything quickly.

If a webmaster only has one domain and gets this same problem... not sure myself what they would do

Yeah. I checked. It's consolidated after a period of time. Not sure how long though.

Opps! I've made the 1st account the master. Was the 2nd account supposed to be the master?

Yes. Making the second the master was the whole point of the solution. Try changing it, if you can.

Good to hear. No need to make second master :) Thanks for trying to give me green rep twice.

Some dude actually gave me a red for trying to help you. Maybe it was a mistake and they tried green and by accident hit red.
