I was wondering if I had( which I do) 40,000 email addresses. Then what would be something worthwhile doing with them?

It depends how unscrupulous you're feeling. If you don't mind someone spamming your dating site members then you could sell the list and someone will send them lots of Viagra and sex aid emails.

I'd only be guessing - have a look in the BST section (do a search) to see what previous email lists are going for. I imagine you could get maybe $100 for it - but that's just my opinion.

Make a dating blog or website, send out an email blast to the 40,000 people whose email addresses you have and see if they convert to readers for your new website.

Hmm.. I wouldn't sell these lists.. especially if the agreement for the members were that you wouldn't sell their e-mail addresses in the first place.. do you have a privacy policy?

That is a good idea I bet it would...:) I am also thinking of selling the list out but want to find a post that has someone selling the same thing so I can get a grip on the price.

Our privacy policy in the TOS says we can do whatever we want with the emails..

I can understand you wouldn't but the xtra boost of spare income could help me get even more people to the site.

If you could help me find a previous email list sold here or where to post such a sale It would be great.

Wouldn't it back fire in turn? If people find out it's from your dating site where the spam is coming from.. they don't participate it in anymore? Exposure about this would lead to people not wanting to join..

 $20 only? I wouldn't risk it at all.. there are other ways to make money.

WHY not instead: send out newsletters? And then just get sponsored ads on them? Way less spammy.. and you can earn much more than $20 !

I tend to agree with this. All that they're good for is spamming.

ZergMan - 8everything is right you know. Your dating site members probably won't want spam about the latest penis enhancing pills or love eggs.
