    well, the layout is okay , but I think you can still work a bit on the colors.( for the header and the right menu ).

    Simple yet attractive, but the orange shade in heading and other areas are irritating my eyes.
    adsense placement is fine, you may also prefer to put one adsense in navigational area.

    The header design is pretty nice. I would remove your orange highlights because it makes your site look unprofessional. Bold font is enough.
