    I am sorry if I have posted this in the wrong section.

    I run a small forum with about 600 registered users of my old school. I am looking for a way to embed chat functionality inside the forum.

    Can it be done? I'm not good with PHP so is there any readymade mod which I can install? I'm Running PHPBB by the way.

    I'm sure there is some type of shoutbox. that would be the way to go if you're looking for "easy"

    There are several options that PHPBB Modders have made, there's one that uses IRC, there's a pure php chat, a javascript chat, and a shoutbox. Best bet would be to go with one that is popular - since it most likely has had bugs worked out of it by now.

    phpbb.com in the modification forums. Search around for a bit, there should be either a java chat for irc or a java chat that isn't irc based
