A computer help forum would really be good...

I have lots of PC issues I'd like to share here... I know I could do it in the General forum but it really isn't useful to post all my issues there as it's more of a general forum, meaning I get less (good) responses to my computer issues.

Just a suggestion, could be nice to have a computer/pc forum within the general talk section.

True, but don't webmasters have a need to talk about their computer problems? (as we are on here 24/7 ... at least some of us :D )

Well if we have seperate section that is good but if you have some problems than you can solved it by posting it in General section.

Well, there are a lot of separate ideas, but generally computers is everything all webmasters use, and it brings out a lot of issues that also can be webmaster-related.

I like this idea better than the sports forum idea, why didn't you create a poll for this thread?

You have to look at the other side though, servers are computers and do deserve to be treated like a computer.

    Sorry I didn't create a poll...

Its a webmaster forum. Separate section is not necessary. I think that you can post it in General Section.

Irrespective of whether the topics are placed in a tech section or general section ,you still are bound to get fewer replies than what you may get on say expert-exchange or other tech sites as this is primarily a webmaster forum.

Now that this thread has caught a few people's attention you may put forward your issues in the general section and we would try to help you out :).

General is fine but I think a computer help section would also be good - I do pc support and might drop in to answer questions when I'm bored - and as someone said, webmasters do use computers so it might be a good helpful section that would keep people at dp (not like there's an issue with that) rather than heading off somewhere else to post their questions.

Yes! I support a "computer/technology" section, or better yet... two sections, one on computer, another on like electronics (mp3/phones) etc
