My Site just got 9,000 unique visitors:)

I have been designing/maintaining websites
for the last 6 or so years and never in
that time have any of my websites achieved
more than a few dozen visitors.

Just wanted to share with you..how powerful
being creative with your business is. If

My latest website (please refrain from
teasing me) just got 9,000 visitors in
the last couple of days. This is a big
achievment for me and I made some money as
well. I'm sending out a Prweb press release
soon so hopefully that spreads the word even
more.

All I did was sent out a few FREE press
releases and the site ended up on fark and
Stumbleupon and some forums..and I didn't
have to do anything.

I have gotten a few people asking me how I got the traffic this is what I did:

- I came up with a creative idea
- I registered a catchy domain which I knew would captivate people
- I sent out a several free press releases

The press release sites I used are:

I also got 2 friends to post bulletins on their myspace, but I don't think that would of helped out a lot.

I think the domain name and site made it popular in stumble upon. That can get you alot of traffic fast.

 

That is a wonderfully creative idea. Hopefully you'll be able to write a lot about your surgery and turn your site into a content site. I think that there are some clickbank books that deal with the topic, so who knows, you could end up making a lot more than your surgery with this site!

 

So you have built your traffic just alone from those Press release sites?

Or are you using other forms of building traffic?

Never the less, you reminded me to post my press releases.. totally forgot to do that.

Hi there thanks for your questions. Yes so far I have spent $0 on marketing. All I did was sent out several free press releases and my site has been posted on other sites by the public such as social sites like stumble upon and fark as well as varios blogs and forums.

Just goes to show how having a catchy domain and creative idea can really spread

i've viewed the site. There are pictures on main page of a male torso with "man boobs"..if your younger than 14 i wouldn't view the site..

i'm ok with it..but i'm at home..

 

There have been some people who think I'm overreacting or whatever but believe me, I am skinny, bony and only weight 5okg's and I have man boobs, it's not normal. It's hard to describe the condition unless you have it yourself, then you will realise how even the smallest man boobs are a curse to have

press releases are great for newish sites
with a good press release it can create sometimes hundreds of links from forums, blogs, social networking sites myspace profiles etc all for free..
