    Hi there everyone,

    I would like to know if anyone on DP has had any luck with niche sites. not the static ones, but the ones that are updated from time to time.
    how many do you have?
    how much money you're making off of adsense or any other ad network?
    how much time do you spend working on them?

    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Well, you can say most people here have niche sites. If you have a site on pet food, then that would be considered a niche. In that regard, pretty much all sites are niche sites.

    all sites are niche sites, the only one that is not is the duplicate site. everysite got their own themes and content. if you decided to make site about any one single topic, your site is niche. next step is just have to make sure you can beat other sites in the same niche. ^^

    My recommendation: make sure each of your niche site has some custom branding or distinct looking UI/design.

    I've seen blog "networks" that use the exact same design across 20/40/80+ niches!

    Advertisers don't like to advertise on splogs/MFA sites. So at least make your sites look OK.

    AdSense might also penalize your site eventually if it looks really crappy / MFA / etc.

    I had one niche site.. but it was a bad investment as the keyword search dropped dramatically. One tip: Don't follow niches that relate to "events"..

    i think that if the niche is very specific you will not get enough visitors as to make a good income; this at least is my opinion, i had a specific niche and i could not get enough visitors; the pay per click however was very good.

    Finding a good profitable niche is half the search. My niche sites are gross underperformers

    hassan731: try searching Text-Link-Ads.com to see which categories are hot.

    Browsing around there can give you a good idea because you can glean exactly how much $$ each site is making because they tell you each sites:
    * Alexa ranking
    * Pagerank or page strength
    * How many ads are sold
    * How much per ad

    The webmaster gets half of that.

    If you see Alexa 500,000 sites making $150 per month -- that's a good niche!!

    Thanks guys...
    well, what if I wanna create niche sites by the masses?
    let's say, around 100 sites with carefully researched keywords and GOOD content... and you know, some SEO and of course a few backlinks here and there.
    How much would that cost? and how much would you expect from it?

    Thanks
