Unfortinatly it'll be about four months before our buddy AnthonyCea can say that! He got something like a six month ban last time, for bashing Republicans!! Check his dead forum posters union for details!! :D:D:D

Man I miss Anthony! I wish they would lift his ban. I dont think a discussion forum is any good without the argumentative type!

It adds spice to the place. Argument is a good thing. Without argument people's intelect wouldnt be pushed to allow them to continue to grow.

What's so bad about having Anthony around? I mean we should ALL be able to take internet discussion with a grain of salt no?

Every hear that saying. Arguing on the internet is the same as being in the special olympics...even if you win you are still retarded :D

Yesterday I got an infraction and a point for posting a supposed affiliate link. I've re-posted the link since, as it is not an affiliate link, and I have contacted the moderator that edited my original post asking why they did it.

They haven't responded to my PM (sent it twice now) just wondered if I can do anything else?

    Thanks. Matt

"referrer=online" in the url typically means it's an affiliate link. I just removed "referrer=online" from the url you posted.

FYI - typically not a good idea to repost something you were infracted for.

Typically yes, but not when on a banking website. You think Natwest bank has some sort of affiliate programme?

Try going to the link you have edited...do you see any free anti virus programme? Now go to the link I have again reposted. Look at the bottom left of the screen. See the link to the anti virus programme now?

Yes, I think they do have an affiliate program.

I deleted the entire thread. They have an affiliate program and that could be/is an affiliate url. I'm not going to spend all afternoon investigating and the fact that you continue to repost the same link again and again leads me to believe you somehow benefit from actions users take on that site after arriving via the url you're posting.

Reposting the link will result in an infraction.

    Thank you.

bad bob00, As I said in my PM back to you, PM's are the last thing I attend to. Bad post reports are the first. I work on those before looking at anything else.

Wow, people really take infractions seriously!

Doesn't it take like TEN infraction points to be banned? I'm socially inept and I can't even manage to get ten infraction points.

And then what's the worst thing that can happen? You get some time off from DP to work on your web sites or -gasp- reacquaint yourself with your friends and family.

Okay then, but you don't understand my point. Why would an online bank allow an affiliate link to a free download of an anti virus programme? Surely NatWest are affiliates of the McAfee anti virus, which is why they are offering free downloads of the anti virus? Natwest aren't going to be allowing people to become an affiliate so they can hand out free copies of an anti virus programme, are they?

The clue is in the URL itself - referrer=online. Hardly going to be my affiliate link, is it? Take away the referer=online from the URL link. It does not show the link to download McAfee...aka you need that part of the link to download the software.

I'm only bothered because I have gone to the freebies section to post some free software, I'm only doing it as a favour; I have no connection with it at all and if you must know I found it on a very reputable freebie website.

I'm annoyed at the fact that I've been so criticised for posting a free piece of helpful software. I don't care about the infractions I receive for no reason on this forum, I'm just asking why. Is it unfair to ask for some constructive feedback? Perhaps this way I will learn from my mistakes.

And devin, calling someone a dumbass will get you nowhere in life. What did I do to offend you so badly? I posted some free software, and I went on here to ask why it was edited as firstly it isn't an affiliate link but secondly the link does not work when it has been edited. Oh and yes, before I forget - you are a very funny guy!! My lawyer can't wait to speak to you!! How funny!!

    Thanks. Matt :)

    "Spamming"

I didn't issue it so I can't say for sure what it was. But you were probably PM spamming people.
