Expat I don't see the problem with a member of the coop and LV trying to work toward the quality they are both suppose to maintain. It's not only better for coop but also LV if they are not mixed.

I prefer LV and would rather NOT see sites using both on my LV links.

    so do I.
I do send pm warnings to sites I see BUT I would not boast about it.

Both networks have certain advantages and work well so there is no desperate need to have vigilates...

My intent was not to "boast". I was just suprised to find so many sites violating the DP TOS, and decided to report them. I suppose to calm you down, I can report them privately to Shawn.

We made the decision some time ago to split our site and run DP on part of it, LV on another. I took pains to make sure that I didn't violate the DP TOS (or the LV one for that matter, but it doesn't have any such restrictions), when I made the changes. Apparently many people don't bother to honor the TOS, so I figured I'd report 'em.

We eventually went 100% LV, and are currently not running the co-op at all, although we keep an eye on developments and may run it again. It's hard for me how to imagine how I'm "sucking up" to DP considering we don't have any co-op links on our site?

Shawn the tools you have created are great and I use them on a daily basis.

One of my coop accounts was banned because of this TOS. I did not realize the TOS violation.

It would have been nice to have been notified before the account was disabled. Even after my account was disabled the coop continued to show ads on my domains. I think that was wrong!

If you want to use the co-op ad network (within the TOS), that's fine... Just make it compliant and post the URL. As I said in a previous post, this round of bannings aren't permanent since people could argue they didn't know. But going forward they will be permanent (I put a note about it on the setup page so people can't argue they didn't know).

.....From my third pages of links (8 more to go):......

    Not boasting? come on.....

I simply fail to understand what you expect out of this as you say you're not in coop but LV and it is not agains the TOS of LV.

Yes that doesen't make it right - but people acting like you make this world a smaller less desirable place.

WM's may or may not be aware of TOS and one should give them the benefit of the boubt and I would have expected this list to go up first in LV - than one can report or simply ban them from your sites.

To be quite clear about this, it's a free world and business is not fair but promoting a signature domain with a specific "label" like yours do make people like me expect a certain "etikete" .......

PS It tastes of 13 pices of silver.....

What I expect is for people using the co-op to honor its TOS. If you are, you have nothing to whine about. If not, I guess your free ride on both networks is over, sorry.

And, by the way, it's 30 pieces of silver, not 13.

Just make them compatible with the ad network TOS (and keep them that way).

Just a thought. Would it be wise to "suspend" accounts instead of banning/removing them. Just in case there is a false positive they can get their account/referers back etc.

If they are unbanned, everything is restored as it was.
