Any SEO Software?

    Hi,

I would like to know if you could suggest me any good SEO software I could use for my website.

Possibly one that would help me checking and optimizing all sub-pages of my websites (lots of them). A software that would check tags, html errors and all of that.

I heard of IBP 8. Is that good? Any experience to share?

    Thanks,
    Irongloves

SEO software is great for carrying out the boring as hell stuff, and that is about as far as it goes.

Honestly, software can never do the job for you as it simple can not get its head around the logical complexity of it all. It will hep to throw stats and numbers etc at you, but unless you really understand SEO it is not going to do anything to help you.

OK, seriously though, irongloves, you'd do well to hang around these forums - you will get a better understanding of SEO, it just takes a little time to soak it all up and use the techniques that suit your needs :) There is no bible/handbook otherwise we'd all have a copy ;)

    :D :D :D

One problem with SEO software is that you're following someone elses idea of what is right and often their ideas are not conservative.

Forum information, blog articles (mine included) etc are always subjective as SEO is an ever changing discipline. Check that any ideas you adopt are considered to be mainstream and well accepted. If they don't make sense to you then they probably aren't right, anyway.

And ask questions... lots of them - especially if your site is generating revenue for you and not a hobby, or side interest.

    Here's a great free resource...

Go to www.seoelite.com and there wil be a chance to sign up to receive Brad's SEO book. It's a great little resource for those wanting good advice on SEO with no cost.

I'm not tied to the site in anyway...strictly something I think will help.

I really suggest searching around forums.digitalpoint.com I'll even give you the link to a good guide right now, that I used when I first go here, it was given to me by a guy currently ranking crazy hi in the google directory I suggest you read it and avoid software, the optimization should really be done by hand, and these softwares leave alot out.

Well, I can help you with nice software that I use too. It's a website builder tool but it also does some SEO stuff like checking your pages, keywords research, giving you the facts about improving your web pages and web sites and many more.

I will look for the direct link to this software so send me a PM if you are interested.

Why not post the link openly on the forum, ? That is what a forum is all about surely.

Taking a look at webceo's sales pitch. In a nutshell it is 10 tools.

The one that jumped out at me was 3. Submit your URLs to search engines. I've read the opinion before that this does more harm than good, especially if repeated. Is submitting to search engines still a negative? I'm sure it varies from SE to SE.

Most of the other things I have covered with digital point tools and occasional visits to other tool pages, and server analytics. The uploading and editing are reduntant for me as well. SO the question willl be is number 2. "Optimize your site for high rankings in search engines" going to have enough benefit for me to check it out? Sometimes I think focusing too much on building sites for ultimate keyword optimization just bogs down the creative process. As engines get smarter (is LSI the right term?) I think just having lots of unique pages that make sense will pay off.

My current state of seo amounts to thinking "What is the page about?", write a good description, use a few accurate keywords, use H1 H2 bold and italics throughout the text for important words. Link to the page with appropriate anchor text. Keep it clean and navigable. Make it interesting and try to have fun.

Is it really worth the time to hit 10% keyword density and whatever optimized parameters this thing may check? Maybe the answer is yes.

I've been at this for less than a year, but I'm starting to feel as if I've soaked enough of it up that I need to stop nitpicking and tuning so much and start cranking out the pages with the basic seo know-how I have in the back of my mind without stopping to tune the crap out of everything. (run on sentences anyone?) Maybe this will even be appreciated by search engines in the near future. But as usual I'm thinking out loud...and I will not be able to resist tinkering with some seo tools when I get home this evening. Maybe it will just function as an awareness device and I can let it more subconsciously affect my page building. I know my style has evolved in the past few months to where my newer sites are ranked better.

I guess I'm saying, my natural approach is to keep reading and learning...but to get productive I let it go and swing for the fences. Knowing my content is what will make me competitive, I want to keep as much energy focused on that as I can. I've tried out a couple CMS scripts and with a little tweaking , meta tags, and text markup, I think I may be on the right path for myself. Plus I heard someone say on webmaster radio that all the seo software was crap...but they are big seo smartypants.

sorry about the long post. sometimes I start to put my 2 cents in and all I have is a dollar bill.

I am using linkmachine on my sites, it has an seo part as well, I purchased that too, but have not really used it that much so far.

But the linking part is great, linkmachine builds up static link pages.

Irongloves you really cant be dependent on just one software to optimize your site you shud use a handful of tools and logic right from your weblog analyzer to link popularity checker.
u can find good matter on SEO on this forum itself and on the net, but just beware of some cheap fraud websites who claim that they can sell you an ebook which will help you to get your website ranked #1 in every search engine overnight.

webceo is a great tool. I have been using for quite awhile and it got one of my clients site up into the top 10 position on Y! for about 3 or 4 different search terms, and he has NO links setup. Was a little shocked, didnt quite understand how it happened.. but it was a gift horse nonetheless... (of course google is still being a punk about that site lol)

On a side note, anyone have any thoughts about Webceo's certifications they offer? I have been wanting to get atleast CSEM certified, but dont know where to start...
