All [state]-lawyer-search.com sites (where [state] is a US state), appear to be running both networks.

    Also:

    http://www.cardtemplates.com
    http://www.the-accountant-search.com

I'm finding these by looking through my list of placed links at link-vault.com. When I switched from co-op to LV, I was careful to honor the co-op terms of service and not run both, and am irritated that other co-op users are thumbing their noses at the TOS.

    http://www.candlesbystone.com
    http://www.a1-giftshop.com

So far I've only made it through 2 pages of 11 at link-vault.com for my placed links, and have found this many sites running both networks.

Shawn, if you don't mind posting here again to let me know that you're seeing the entire list, I just want to make sure you didn't see just the first post...

Thanks GuyFromChicago. I'm only getting started though. Those came from my list of placed links at LV, and I went through less than half of the list for one link of ours only. I have far to go before getting them all.

So say a stupid person happened to be running both (me!). Is this a permenant co-op ban or is it possible to use the co-op again after removing all the LV code? One get out of jail free card?

For this pass of bans, I'm going to let people back in that ask (and of course are compliant now). But a "get out of jail free" policy is NOT going to be happening going forward (and that's only because someone could claim they didn't know). I'm going to make some changes so people are not going to be able to claim they didn't read the TOS.

That would be easy, a simple checkbox saying that they have read the TOS before letting them sign up would do the job

Well it's nice to know that someone who is associated with chistian hosting needs to suck up to dp .....

Yes it's against the TOS but it is a different matter and there is this matter of "who throws the first stone - hope you don't have a glasshouse...

So I hope this gives you max satisfaction.

I don't see why he is "sucking up" to DP or why you would care, unless you are in that list

{scratching head} Not sure why "Christian Hosting" has anything to do with anything. I also wouldn't say that someone helping to maintain the quality of the ad network is sucking up. Other people have reported TOS violations (other networks, bait and switch (changing site content to something not allowed after the ad was reviewed), cloaking, altering output of ads, etc.) I'm glad people report them, because I can't personally monitor 20,000+ sites for compliance every day.

If it's against the TOS, then that's all that matters as far as I'm concerned.

oopps forgot I took my sites out of coop quite qhile back.

well it's my opinion as LV is fairly undetectable you have to be a member or run a site there to see it

(.......From my third pages of links (8 more to go):.... pretty good indication....)

I could understand a warning on LV - but I have seen none by him -

So as far as I'm concerned it is what I wrote.

I highly regard DP, Shawn and the networks but I don't like something like this as it is not nessesary.

I also understand that coop tries to guard and retain quality - but using a little sucker is a bit of a let down....

    Expat

Shawn I don't argue with you and yes TOS is TOS.
I just get wound up if people bosting about being a snout.

If I would be in your place, yes every time I get a notification I'll ban...

Just you could become a Yahoo where a complaint is acted upon unchecked....
With newtorks like LV an interesting situation apears ...
I could have a site in coop, another in LV (not against TOS) and run a private db of links...
So a competitor or "well meaning" person can easily throw my site out of DP...

Agreed, and I've thought about that myself. Every reported site (ever) has been manually looked at, and a couple were even not banned because I wasn't 100% certain about it. Usually it's pretty easy to see though.

So far, a false positive ban hasn't happened, but if it does, I don't think it would take long for it to be brought to light and corrected.
