Wonderful resource. I hope it really takes off. I myself have a number of literary sites such as LitVillage.com.

Your resource could be of real use to the younger generation in particular. I'm trying to teach some 20-25 year olds at the moment and, even though they are university graduates, they have no ability to write anything beyond basic English.

Not a bad list at all! I would like to see it updated, though. Update it constantly and you will attract more people. :)

My site http://www.BrianHillandDeePower.com has a lot of resources for writers and authors. There is a Q&A with four literary agents, another with acquisition editors, and articles we've written based on our research.

If you're interested in books that could be resources, our book The Making of a Bestseller: Success Stories from Authors and the Editors, Agents and Booksellers Behind Them would be appropriate. It's hard copy and available on amazon.com

Our latest ebook is The Publishing Primer: A Blueprint for An Author's Success will be available May 1 and will be set up on an affiliate program.

Writers' markets are publications that regularly accept work from writers. For example, magazines are writers' markets, as are websites that accept freelance submissions.

The most popular site (I'd imagine) for market listings is www.writersmarkets.com. I also post them at the SixFigureWriters blog and writing forums in my sig, and plenty of other sites also post them.

While similar though, they're not the same as freelance job postings, b/c it's not an immediate need or gig, but rather an open-ended thing. Markets are the kinds of places you'd query on your own.

    Martindale,

What a wonderful writers' resource - thanks a lot!:)

I have some links to add to your list - unfortunately, I don't have the time to do it these days. Some time in the future I hope to find some spare minutes.

Have the best of your day,

    Tiggs

Tiggi, as soon as you have time, don't hesitate to PM me some links. I'll be happy to look over them and add them to the list.

I'm really glad that everyone is enjoying this resource, and I only hope to make it more useful to everyone. Thanks for the feedback, keep it coming!
