Infractions may be a must but I don't know how to go about all these things..

I am new to this forum and its harder to follow the rules when you are new..

I wish sincerely if I could follow everything but until now, I have got more than 3 red infractions (not good) and 1 green infractions (which is good).. I am just worried over not getting banned from tis forum because this is second home to most people like me..

I wonder if there was someone to assist me in getting some greens and at the same time.. avoiding the reds and how it happens..

    PLEASE HELP!

A chat on yahoo will probably be better bet because then it will give me sleepless nights for getting more red infractions and I don't want to get banned at any costs.

I am looking for green infractions.. how do I go about that?

If Mod's (crazy_rob and others) are listening, I had request them to be giving newbies a chance by sometimes reversing the infractions at times especially when people like me are willing to edit the posts and make a note of their mistakes.

No such thing as a green infraction. You are getting confused over the difference between rep and infractions. Infractions/warnings are always red/yellow. Rep is either green +, gray 0, or red -.

    what shannon said.

also, infractions are 'chances'. if there weren't chances you'd be banned immediately.

Look at the 'Expires' part. It tells you right there when they expire.

Trust me, as long as you be wacko, you will be alright. Wackos have to beg or bribe to get them!! :D:D:D:D

I am new here on this forum. I have read most of this thread and I have a question.

Lets say I post a thread to sell links on my directory at $4.95. Now, I get zero response to this thread.
Then I decide to lower my price to $2.95 and post it. You would give me a infraction for doing this?

This would seem very unfair to me.

Lets say I place a newspaper ad to sell a item. Now I get zero response to this ad.
Then I decide to lower my price and and place a new add. They would let me place the same ad with the lowered price, I don't think that they would say no.

Now, the only difference to me is, the newspaper ad runs out and the threads here do no. Now, Does the thread actually run out after a certain amount of time? If not, why not?

Please, could you explain why you would have a problem with that? I feel like I am walking on thin ice when I visit this forum because of some of your rules. Some people catch on quicker and are smarter than others, some just make a mistake.
My understanding is that a community is there to support all of it's members, not to punish them. Shouldn't there be a few warnings first, before giving infractions out?

I think it would be nice if your system could give the new users tips. It would be nice if every time a peon logs on, there would be a different rules displayed. This would help educate your users and make your forum a better for everyone.

These are just some questions and thoughts, and my opinion.

Nah, that's fine. As long as you don't do it all of the time.

As far as your other scenario, I didn't read it, sorry.
