Every keyword i'm tracking took a hit today on msn... for several various sites across numerous servers. Not a huge hit, some only a few places and some a few pages, but still it's red all the way down.

anyone else see this happen today?

MSN is still my friend as well. I have been searching MSN more now because they are my friend and the search results seem to be sooo much better than G. Why is that? and why don't people use MSN more?

RestaurantTrader.net went from #78 to #12 for "used restaurant equipment"!! :)

What changed? MSN bot found one PR4 food related link from honey and two threads in the forum.

If only Y! and G were so easy to please.

It's the opposite for me, I have new sites skyrocketing to #5-8 on yahoo, and MSN lags behind, say #9-15 area.. Seems pretty strange. Anybody else have that happen?

I experinence the same thing. I had started targeting "widgets" instead of "blue widgets" and pinted about 6,000 coop weight at the anchor "widgets". 2 days later I when't from #50 to no where to be found. I have now stopped the coop weight and see if this could of been the cause, seems quite odd though usally msn is all over my site and the coop.

For my part MSN has so far been the most consistent SE, fairly easy to achieve top rankings and keep 'em. One thing I've noticed, though, is that their country/language-specific indexes are ranked differently, or perhaps even indexed separately, from the "main index", meaning the same site can have a widely varying rank when searched for in a "local MSN" vs the global search.msn.com.

Google n MSN is my best buddies right now.. It used to be all of them.. Ive been in the second page for my keyword in yahoo, but after 3 weeks there, it was no where to be found. Luckily G! has gotten me in the first 100, it used to nothing but im happy that im in the result with G!.And I think its just a maatter of time to be in the top 10

Yep, MSN has been a wonderful friend while Yahoo and Google take their sweet time to rank a site I am working with. I have held out many #1 positions in MSN.

I got a nice little bump today, from #3 and #4 to #1 and #2 for my most important phrase.

I held the #1 spot for about 4 months, but slipped a couple of months ago to 2 and then 3.

It does feel good to be back on top. Now hopefully, I'll get some meaningful traffic. :)

No...not just you. For the second time I've gone from #1's and #2's to 90-100+ out of no where, and for no reason. The last time this happened it lasted about two months, and then they all came back again out of the blue.

I have no idea why. Before I laughed it off as a fluke, especially when they all returned to normal for the last month. Now that it's happening again it's just frustrating. If any SEO Veterans can shed some light on this that would be great.
