kojakfilth ... dont worry the update is in progress so you might see more changes ... One of my site is PR5 in last PR update I saw it as PR0 but after few days everything was back to normal PR5. ;) so wait till PR thing finishes.

Yes PR change for new sites (3), old sites (+50) didn't change.

So i'm sure this is only for new sites.

So I continue to see just one site that changed. It is not a role back to a previous update. It is something new. However, I am unable to see any other changes elsewhere, so what I observed is limited in scope. I do believe it is starting, but it would not surprise me if there are a couple of days before it really starts showing changes at multiple DCs and more sites.

Ya not sure what decided what sites to do first. Thats the first time Ive seen this.

But worse news is I was so board I checked about 75 of my sites and none of them changed. There has to be something that started doing PR for some sites since it is an algorithym. But I looked at all the sites that were reported getting updated and came up blank.

Not by country, IP, registration date, ect. Nothing was in common which was odd. Has to be something though because its not human initiated. :)

I don't think there is a PR update at this time, I think what you are seeing is some strange side effects from the canonicalization update that went out on the 22nd or 23rd of March.

Read my post here, I had a site that was affected by that update in a big way.

What I did not discover until after that post was that one of the folders that previously did have PR also got 0'd... and now, it will not come up (the tool says NaN, I assume it means 'Not Available Now') on the d/c's mentioned that are showing updates, though the site's base url does: http://www.iwebtool.com/pagerank_checker?domain=www.cookbook-bookstore.com/good-housekeeping/
The same url is dying before full data is reported by digpagerank.com, while the base url is getting a full report...

To me, it only makes logical sense that some pages may have gotten PR on those 2 d/c's in the canonicalization update, while it did something odd (dumped the folder on those d/c's?) to my site which Google was having problems with before March 22.

Obviously, Google is having problems, and PR changes on 2 d/c's only for a few sites does not make for a PR update. I wouldn't get too excited, it could also be that they are testing to see if they got the canonicalization right this time...

    Yes its a PR update.
It will take some time to get all DC's and sites on them to get updated..

ITs PR update because the newly launched http://contextual.v7n.com has got PR5 in some DCs.

It is kind of reminicent of the August 24th, 2006 update... which was followed pretty quickly by the September 28th update.
Google has been having problems with updates alot over the last 6 or 7 months, IMHO:
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=2219954&postcount=13
(That whole thread is worth reading.)

In January we got what seems like a one-two punch...
The January 10 event also PR 0'd sites like amazon.com, a secondary push brought PR back for them... then they updated January 25th.

But I still think this has to do with the canonicalization update...

I am getting NaN for one of my sites on that tool (only for 2 DCs)

NaN = Not a Number, meaning that the value which the Datacentre is replying with a non-number value to the PR checking tool , in this case the iwebtool or digpagerank. Both give same result (NaN).

Although, i've checked about 30 sites, none of which have changed any PR.. so no idea wats going on now. Lets just hope it clears up in the days to come.

Thats what I was saying some-time ago. I think it takes sometime to propagate for surfers to see the same result from around the world. I could not see any result couple of hrs back--but now I can see it for some sites.:(
