Reputation abuse, mod action required.

Hi,

Basically, the next person who green reps me with something along the line of "please rep back" will get repped back....red. Also these reps were received by people with high amount of greens, if this continues my respect for people with high rep will diminish and I don't want that to happen.

The last two reps I have received have been:

Rep me back please! -[name removed]-
Care to exchange greens? -[name removed]-

why should I rep you back you cheeky little monkeys!? You should contribute like all the big names!

As a ghandi style statement could a mod please remove the last two green reputations that I have received from DP members (the ones saying "please rep back"), I don't want them.

I like you your very honest, I would have just left them and not given anything back, but I like the way you ask for them to be removed

Yes, a lot of the rep around here is from people asking for it or people giving away "worthless" free stuff. Same with the iTraders.

 

Newbies have sort of hinted me to do it before (I didn't), but I'm surprised that veterans would do that.

 

I never get anybody ask me for rep- except the other day and i stupidly replied back. I have issue to work on!

I think that these should be reported and can cause infractions or should be better monitored because it is abusing the system. IMHO

 

Yep! if a find a good post I rep, but you shouldn't rep people just for the sake of getting it back that's abusing the system...

Some members iv noticed signed up in Jan '07 and have green the same as me ! =|

I think Its considered abuse when there are RED ATTACKS

Just take the green and don't rep back....

Well it is very different between wanting to get a better reputation without offering something benefical to this community and getting a reputation for providing information that helps us out.

iTrader shows how trustworthy/successful we are in purchases/sales.
Post count shows our activity on the forum.
Reputation shows the dedication in our posts and the knowledge we possess/the desire to inform others of our knowledge.

Seeing that, reputation is really something that is earned not cheated.

 

i am inclined to agree with notting. i don't like people asking for reps, even if it's green. but usually i just ignore them.

Everyone has all green....Maybe red would be better

this guy has a few green blobs, but i seriously think he should just stay in the red.
