alternatives to Services forum?

Hello,
I attempted to post a thread here offering my services, but it was deleted, I assume, because it didn't belong here. I would post in services, but it seems I have to wait for two weeks and have had a certain number of posts. Well, I am in great need of money and can not wait that long. Might anyone know if there's anything I can do? Or perhaps another forum out there I could use? Thanks so much

 

Freelance work or if you have a website, add Adsense or sell some links off it.

 

Sorry, what I meant was- how else might I advertise my services (as a sprite artist or animator). Are there any other ways to do it on this forum? If not I guess I'll have to wait.

You can always reply to the people who are looking for that service until you are allowed to start your own threads.

 

or that. just be sure not to hijack other threads though.

just fyi, an example of hijack is:

person A posts that he is a designer looking for work. several people offered him work to do. you post that 'i'm also a designer here's my portfolio etc'.

this is not a hijack:

person A posts that he is looking for a designer. several people posts their offer. you jump in and say "here's my offer".
