What that link nshows is nothing of any value whatsoever.

It still amazes me that people with no interest in a thread continue to post negative comments.

If you don't think a thread is worth reading, don't read it or even post in it!!!!!! How hard can that be to do !?!?!? Obviously quite hard for some people

 

I'm glad to have amazed you I didn't say I have no interest in the thread; I'm very interested, that's why I'm here. That doesn't make it any less ridiculous though.

I appreciate the wisdom you've imparted on me however, and I will keep it with me in the future as I troll PR threads and steel myself against leaving negative comments.

That link I showed is loaded with value, showing how erratic the updates can be. Obviously he didn't look at it and scroll

 

You're mistaken. I'm quite familiar with that page and with its creator. It's nothing new. It's a whole lot of information meaning nothing, a waste of time to either compile or read. It's not "loaded with value". It's loaded with something but not value.

Now that you've read it, what exactly did it tell you that you didn't know before? What did you learn from it you shouldn't have already known?

 

I know now that there definitely isn't a PR update going on ...... YET

 

I would hope that no one needed that page to draw that conclusion.

My comments were made in the context of this post sequence:

 

You complain daily about the "when's the next update" posts. This is for them, to show that it's called the "quarterly update" not because it happens exactly every three months. The point of that is to simply show them the history and dates of past updates. How could you not think this would be useful to them? It clearly shows that they do not happen every 90 days. Perhaps that would eliminate the majority of the posts that seem to annoy you.

Do you understand what I'm trying to say? I think that page is loaded with more value than the thousands of pages out there that simply guess a day, which we both no they're never right.

I'm not affiliated at all with that site, but I think it's great that they keep it updated.

Actually, it sounds kinda like you're not understanding him. You're trying to say that you cannot predict the next PageRank, and that page does not help you predict it.

He's saying that page demonstrates the randomness of the PageRank updates, not that it shows any sort of pattern.

In that sense, yes, it does show something. It shows that all of those people who insist on stating that an update happens quarterly are unequivocally wrong. That's all he* was saying.
