Starting out on the internet not sure what to have your website on ?

Well it isn't rocket science don't go out and start it on a topic that everyone else is doing for example myspace styles sites there are millions of those sites on the internet.

Ok so how do you find a niche or a new market , its easy basically visit a new technology site such as gizmodo.com look for products which aren't out yet or are coming out , then register a domain to do with that as an example : waverider cars so you would get a domain called waveriderproducts.com or waveriderinformation.com and so on.

Another place you can find niche's or new markets for your products is in the news for instance most of the papers report on what companies like Google and Yahoo are chasing, so if you read Google is chasing Sports sites go and make a site around what they are look for and market it.

Basically the way to find a niche or new market is to read internet news , tv news or just keep an eye out for new products or services you could build a domain around.

Thanks, that is great info for sure. And it helped answer some questions I have had about niche finding.

One other tip I have on a great short term but possible high traffic (spurt) site, is go to a place like yahoo, check out the movies.... there are sections that show movies not even in production yet, but coming 2-3 years from now, such as Terminator 4, etc.... these can get you started on some great niche sites, and as the words of the movies leaks out on more mainstream news, or the tv commercials start, your site will be will indexed by the major search engines, and you can find yourself a huge flow of traffic.

If you are starting out go for
    the popular niches. If something
is hot go for it. No reason to
    stay away.

As far as finding niches in general
    just look around. Commercials,
    magazines, newspapers, ad packs
    niches are all around.

You get your most success when
    you find niches with problems!
Become one of them and provide
    a solution.

Not really because that means not as many people would start a site about it therefore it would still get people looking for information about the product just not as many as if it was a hit

Ya It´s kind of dangerous just taking the plunge on new products... The best way to find a niche is find something that people are already looking for information for so that you can fill that demand... It would also be difficult to monotize sites on new products, as there probably wouldnt be too many affiliate opportunities out there yet.
