Can i deposit paypal check in SBI?

hello everybody,

I want to know if I can deposit my paypal checks into my SBI account or not. if I can then how long the SBI take to draw the money from paypal? anybody knows anything about SBI and PayPal Checks? please reply as now I have to withdraw money every month from my paypal acc. by the way, I am from Assam, India lolololol......

 

You shouldn't have any problem doing so. A few days it is possible to get your check cleared.

 

You can deposit it in any bank in which you are having an account

one more question. i request the check today of $200 dollar. so how long it will take to get me by postal? it says it will take 6 days for paypal to process the check. so after a week, when they send me the check, then how many days it can take to get the check here by post?

 

To India, it make take between 4 to 6 weeks according to Paypal and the experiences the rest have here.

 

i have cleared successfully citibank checks of adsense from sbi. it takes just one day, deposit in the morning, it will be cleared till the evening.

but then a few of my checks of other international banks, whose branch is not available in india, are not cleared, one is still pending, almost 2 months now

but then paypal checks are of citibank, so i don't think it should take time!

 

uttoransen is the citibank the same one we have over here or is it a different one? and also i request the check today and it says it will take 6 or 7 days for them to give out the check. so it will take 30 or 40 days to get there right? but what if i dont get the check by mail? will paypal add the money back to my account again?

 

Fully agreed, with SBI it clear on very next day.

 

If you have an account in Citi bank,its more faster like 5-10 minutes.

well it did freak me out because i request the paypal check on 1st of april and i get the check on 17th april. so i am going to think it take 20 days to get a paypal check from NY to Ghy. anyway, now the problem is it says that the check is payable at any citibank inside india and the check is from citibank NY. but in Guwahati, i dont see any citibank branch at all. so can i deposit that check at SBI? please let me know what are banks i can cash that check or draw that check.

I thought SBI is fastest with 30 mins...I think its very fast

 

yes, ofcourse you can. Even I am doing so.
It normally takes 3-4 days to clear.

 

Citibank has no branch in Assam.

Your check may take 2-4 weeks for clearing...it will be treated as an outstation check.

 

cool... thanks buddies.... i dont care how long it takes to get the check cash.... i have lots of time lolol..... but i dont have acc. at citibank cause here there is no citibank. by the way how much initial deposit have to be made to get a account at citibank? is it Rs. 10,000 or more? please let me know. and thanks once again for your good replies. i am really greatful to yall...

 

All private bank have a no frills accounts now...which require only Rs 1000 minimum balance.

HSBC has a zero minimum deposit account. .

yes, this is the same citibank, and india has plenty of citibank branches.
even in ranchi, jharkhand we are going to have on shortly!

i just got the paypal check a few days back, it took 6 days to process and 20 days to reach me, another check should be comming in a few days!!

i have deposited the check in the bank a few days back, in SBI. it should be cleared by now, though i did not manage the time to check it. i will update this thread when go to the bank.

adsense check was cleared on the same day of deposit in SBI!
