    I wont list the Forum in question,dont want an infraction!!

    Question is i have a Webmasters Forum and looking to recruit 2-3 moderators of good quality, but not sure what the going rate is to offer.
    Can anyone advise?

    :confused:

    You should pay per hour. So maybe $2.50 - $5 per hour, I'm not sure about the rates atm. Just make an offer on the forums and see if anyone is interested. :)

    So is this the correct place to ask for volunteers?

    Thats a tough one to monitor surely?

    may be a good idea to ask members of your forum if any of them would like to be a mod , at least then you know who you are dealing with , and they will probs do it for free :)

    It is up to you, but I would not give money to people to moderate your website, that is silly, people will do it for free, distinguished members will show and they will deserve the job as Moderator and I am sure they will do more for you.

    If you do pay then, I would start with a little wage, then get more for the harder and longer you are there for, to keep them motivated!

    Hehe, anyone notice that the kitty killer and the kitty are about to go at it? I think we need to moderate the moderators before someone has to clean up the kitty scraps.

    I volunteeer to be a DP Mod

    jokes aside, just post a thread on your forum in the news section, saying this

    "NEW MODERATORS NEEDED"

    PLEASE POST THE FOLLOWING

    Experience (if any)
    Why should you be chosen
    A little about yourself
    <add stuff here>
    <add stuff here>

    Well you get the point.
    If your forum is empty, it might be good to get some friends to do it for you. The going rate is $200 a month. Ill do it for 150 if you are still interested in hiring. :p

    Nick

    P.S. I wasn't joking, I really do want to become a mod.

    You just ruined it for me. I was about to get $150 for it. HAHA JK. Also, volunteers need to make sure they know the rules of the forum. So before you actually give them access, make sure you can trust them, and that they've at least read the rules.
